# API Key

> Find your API key on the Settings page at artemis.ai

## Finding your key

1. Go to [artemis.ai](https://www.artemis.ai) and sign in.
2. Click your user profile in the top right.
3. Open **Settings**. Your API key is listed there.

If no API key is listed, your plan doesn't include API access. API and MCP access come with **Managing Director**. See [Pricing](https://artemis.ai/docs/welcome/pricing.md), or email [team@artemis.xyz](mailto:team@artemis.xyz).

>
> Treat the key like a password. It travels as a query parameter, so it lands in shell history, proxy logs and CI logs. Export it rather than pasting it inline:
>
> ```bash theme={null}
> export ARTEMIS_API_KEY="your-key-here"
> ```
